We’re hiring for this role as part of the UK Government’s Kickstart scheme which provides funding to employers for job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit.
This is a unique opportunity to work in all aspects of production here at Soup. The new role of Production Assistant will be varied and fast paced. You will be working closely with both Production and Post-production teams giving you maximum exposure to all aspects of content creation.
We are looking for someone full of energy and passionate to learn a multitude of skills on the job.
Experience or education in video production and a keen eye for the latest trends and good knowledge of social media is preferred. But none are essential for this junior role. We are looking for a driven individual to support our current team, so being able to fit in with the team and the Soup culture is our main priority.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Production runner
- Camera operation
- Video editing
- Studio preparation
- Sound design
- Working with creative briefs
- Data management and Kit preparation

The successful candidate will be mentored closely by the Production Team with access to the Creative Directors also. They’ll be opportunities to attend shoots and move onto bigger shoots, like TV commercials, as they progress. Ongoing support will be provided, as well as guidance to help them achieve targets and goals to move along their career development.
