Shining a light on the work Kooth does for mental health and wellbeing

The challenge

Kooth is an online counselling and emotional well-being support service for children and young people available free at the point of use. An early intervention solution, Kooth helps to reduce waiting times for young people seeking help while removing the stigma associated with accessing mental health support.

Our approach

Pre-production and planning is key to any film production. Once the script is finalised, we can start sourcing actors, models, props and scouting potential film locations. All of these are key to making each and every scene appealing and engaging.

With a target audience of students aged 11-25, it was important to ensure the story was told from their perspective. We sourced local drama students to take part in the film.

The results

The final film was filmed over 5 days in various locations. The script was produced to have chapters, following different students on each chapter and allowing them to tell their story.

We followed this film up with a series of explainer videos to help demonstrate how the platform works.
