We’re pleased to introduce Bethany, our new intern, to Soup. Our new Junior Creative is here for three months as part of Santander’s Internship Scheme but hopefully she’ll love it too much and stick around for a lot longer!

Bethany recently graduated with a BA in Fine Art. She oozes energy and fresh ideas and has an amazing illustrative portfolio to boot. She’ll be joining us on our film and photography shoots, motion graphic projects and in our editing suite, as well as recording her time with Soup on our social media platforms and blog #lifeasanintern. When she’s not at her desk, you’ll find her sketching, on Instagram or on her long board. We can’t wait for you all to meet her.

Giving young people a taste of agency life We love to give young people an opportunity to work with us, as we know how difficult it is to stand out in the world of work once you graduate. As well as offering this internship, we often offer work placements. Our most recent work experience student, Ben Hanratty joined us for three weeks and enjoyed shadowing the Creative Directors on some of our most recent educational films. “I could not have expected my placement to be as informative and invaluable to me as it was. The team at Soup has really helped me get closer to my goal. I absolutely loved every second and would recommend getting experience with Soup Creative to anyone with an interest in this industry.” Ben Hanratty, work placement Aug 2014. He was a fantastic asset to the company and it was great to get a young head full of thoughts to provoke some ideas for our future too. We’d definitely recommend offering work placements.

Our latest educational work

Our latest animation for the University of Chester was created to promote the Chester Difference Award. An award designed to encourage students to undertake more activities in order to enhance their future employability. University of Chester students are really industrious so its good to see them rewarded for their hard work.

A new University

Another film for the University of Chester we produced this Summer, is this beautiful life-style promotional film for a new University Centre in Shrewsbury. The University of Chester and Shropshire Council are working in collaboration to deliver an exceptional higher education centre in Shrewsbury to encourage local students to stay in the area, gain their qualifications and go on to develop their career working with some of the fantastic local companies in Shropshire. We wanted to make sure the stunning architecture in Shrewsbury, as well as the beautiful surrounding rural rolling hills were all included. A special thanks to the smiley student faces at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College, Lindsay at Golden Kite Solutions and Liz at Morris Property.
