We were very excited to hear that we’d been chosen to produce the upcoming Aberystwyth University’s promotional video. And even more so, to hear that there was in fact going to be 28 in total! We love North Wales and spending time there as part of our work is just heaven on earth for us.
The brief was to create an aspirational video for each department at the University, in English and Welsh, showcasing the facilities as well as showing the breath-taking scenery of the area and all it has to offer to its students.
With a relatively tight schedule, we dove straight into the challenge, developing scripts for each department.
It’s been a long time since ‘some’ of us were studying at University but it was a great filming experience and brought back some good memories for the team.
Filmed over two weeks in May, travelling down to the Welsh coast was a big bonus for the sea-loving Soup crew and Creative Director, Stew even managed to catch some waves with an early morning surf!

The Uni has just been voted as a Top 5 UK University and best in Wales for student satisfaction, which made it a fantastic project for the whole team to be involved in and we’ve loved every minute. More so, to work with our daily contact Joe who headed up the project at Aber Uni. He’s such a joy to work with and is great fun too.
